I must've torn apat & worked on around 25 XLs,Super2s,& other saws in this family & have always run into either Zama,Tilly HK,or Walbro HDC carbs.I've never run into a saw that had a Walbro HDA on it.I bought 2 carbs on eBay recently & by looking at them I assumed they were HDCs.The seller had them listed as carbs for XLs.The kits they use are comparable in price to the HDC kits @ around $10-$12 for OEM.Has anyone here ever run across the HDA carbs on a Super2? I did some research & found that Homelite did indeed put them on Super2s.They were the HDA60.

I think the HDA's were isolated to the very latest models, probably Super 2's and some other similar models. They got pretty model crazy there the last few years.
Back in the heyday of the good Super 2's and XL's, the only Walbros I ever saw on them were HDC's. I still have my first one, an aluminum case Super 2 that Dad bought me when I was 12. It's not going anywhere

I'm with you on that Brent. The mag case saws are better built saws IMO.Don't really care for the dual trigger saws either.About 5 yrs.ago I was intimidated by the smaller saws that ya had to pull out of their cases to work on,but like anything else, they kinda grow on ya.

I've seen most HDA's on the late LX-30's, but occasionally a retrofitted mag Super 2.
