Hello all, Newbie to this forum. I'm seeking help in identifying the year of manufacture of another HOMELITE saw that recently found itself in my possession. It is a 2000E model. I haven't seen many of this series of saws. The tag is small, not the large one that I expected to see, like on a C52 that found it's way home with me. I was also wondering what years HOMELITE produced this series of saws, if anyone knows ? Thanks in advance for your insight in this venture. Tom

Acres' site doesn't list the 2000E,or the yr.of mfr.for the 2000,but it does list the 2000 automatic as being discontinued in 1969.

Thank you for deciphering the production date for me. Can anyone shed some light on the differences between the 2000E, and the Super 2000 ? This one is equipped with a split reed valve, the Tillotson HL273A carb, and the 64158-C cylinder. Is it possible that this is a late production saw that was built using parts meant for the Super 2000, but sold as a 2000 AO-E ?
