Hello All, I was getting the Super XL out to start preparing for firewood season and noticed the drive sprocket looks terribly worn. It had wear on it last year but this looks much worse. I haven’t changed anything, bar and chain are the same/same brand I’ve always used (original Homelite bar and an Oregon chain) and I always keep the chain properly tensioned.
1. Kinda wondering what happened 2. How do I go about replacing it/does it need to be replaced?
Thanks, Joe

Also, I was trying to add a picture to the original post but couldn’t figure it out. So if anyone knows how I will upload some pics.
Thanks, Joe

Several after market manufacturers make replacements. Make sure you get the bearing too. Inspect the race inside the bearing to make sure it is not too worn or out of round. Stand sprocket was a 3/8 pitch 7 tooth. Some of the other guys on here can probably quote the part numbers from Oregon or Stens or Archer

Could you post the UT number & serial number on your saw. It should be on the tag above recoil. If you go to leonschainsawpartsandrepair.com, he has great videos there, that should help you. Also, look on the outside of the sprocket / drum. Could be numbers there that help ID it. Don't want to give a parts number without more information. Most of the drums are used on many different models of saws. As the previous member said, 7 X 3/8 is standard on most of them.
