I just love the old ZIP. They are loud, rude and crude. They are the easest saw that I have to work on. I now have three runners and one for parts. They will make an honest man of anybody who runs them all day.

Yes indeed, loud, rude and crude, just the way we like them. The upright cylinder Homelites are my favorites, some of the best chainsaws from that time. My 600D, a rip snortin' chainsaw

I thought my Zip was loud until I got the 4-20 fired up. I will never start that saw again until my ear muffs are stuffed with extra foam and tie wrapped on my head.

The Homelite red often oxidizes, giving it that tomato soup color, they did have a few shades of green. I had a C7 that looked pink. Have you seen the brass dogs that the big belt drives have?

How badly do you want one? Check the brass ones on this 5-30.
