It's something Homelite did to prevent leaning the saw out too much. The fixed jet was set rich enough it almost acts like a poor man's governor.

Yeah, I can see that to prevent it from leaning out but it already has a governor check valve that's screwed in from the side so it's a little confusing.

Does that have a drilled out hi speed circuit like the 922/925 HS carbs or does it actually have no hi speed needle?
