Starting to re-assemble the Super 1030G I picked up a month ago. I picked up new crank seals but the seal on the flywheel side is a hair too small. The IPL's I have listed show three different part numbers for the 1050 & 1030g: 58308A, 58308B & 58303A. I ordered the 58303B since that came from Rev. 1 IPL. I tried looking up 58303A but that came up nothing on the internet. The 58308A might be the one but would like to know if someone here has one to get some measurements. Any help would be appreciated!

I think the 58303 (listed as FW side seal) on the S1050 and 1130G IPL s a misprint. 58308 A or B should be the one for the FW side. They are the same size. Actual dimension I measured with a vernier on a 58308 is, OD 0.942" ID 0.6" Width 0.125"

The old seal measures what you have, approximate. The new one measures, OD .875" ID .6" Width .180". Maybe this is for the XL models?

That sounds like one for both sides for an XL-12 and 1 side for the Super XLAO. That seals is used in a fair number of saws.
If you can't locate a 58308 seal some guys are using DICHTOMATIK
0609318TC which is for a .625" shaft so it's tight on the shaft but apparently works OK.

Ok, I need to backtrack what I said earlier. I ordered 58308B which is too small so wondering if the 58308A would work? Sorry for the confusion.

There's no difference between the 58308-A and 58308-B in terms of size. I'd guess you didn't get a true 58308-B. The Dichtomatik seal referenced above is a good fit.

They must have sent you a misidentified seal. 58308 A&B are the same size. The seal I measured was the B version.
If that's the one with the .875" OD it would be a Homelite PN 12282A (OLD # 58688A).

Ok, that's what I thought. I reached out to the vendor to see what they say, Thanks!
