I saw one of these on E-Bay last night & I don't believe I have ever seen a thread(at least on HOH) about this saw. The lister titled it as a rare saw made in the late 50s at the same time as the ZIP. Does anyone know anything about this model ? Nice looking old upright though...I wish I had bid higher.

Not sure, but I think it, along with the 500 which is very similar, were the "consumer" models. Lowest saws on the rung as far as purchase price. Its surprizing that they actually seem rare today compared to other models.

Dan Dan...this makes sense as the gas tank appeared to be much thinner(tin maybe) and held on to the saw frame with a strap.

I used to see a Buz once in a while in the shop but I never liked them. They just didn't have nice lines - that strapped on, tin can, gas tank just made it look cheap.
