If I get this, I'm going to need some help getting it on the top shelf with the rest of my Blue and White Homelites!

I do remember those crank handles you wind up till they stop, then push down on them to release the spring.

Now THAT is one sweet ride!! I remember those hand cranks too. As a kid I worked summers at my grandfather's lawn mower repair.........and never understood why those crank starters existed. I mean you could pull the cord 20 times in the same time it took you to crank one of those up and then have it not start. And then you'd have to do it all over again......and again! They would ratchet as you cranked them...........I remember that like it was yesterday.
And the Polish steering wheel!! Those were hysterical! I remember riding a few mowers that had those, and me and my brother would fight over who got to test drive the ones with them......it was just fun hanging way out there in turns I guess.
Thanks for the memories!!

I bought one of those goofy things a few years ago as a someday project. Mine is not as nice or complete as that one. They do have a cool factor

It’s a step up from the Snapper Forest Gump had.

We had at homee a push mower with a Briggs that was handcrank start. It was actually a good unit. I liked it better than the new front drive mower Dad bought.
