I know there are some collectors among us that like things such as this. Yeah, it's a buzzin' bumble bee, but..........Time machines are intriguing concepts and sometimes something manages to slip thru one of those time portals. Here's a link, should you desire, for one you'll never get to look at! www.ebay.com/itm/204003768959?hash=item2f7f927a7f:g:uSAAAOSw8EJis14N

Yup, but it does seem to be a bit of a pig-in-a-poke, having supposedly never been opened. Having worked in a shipping department or two I find it just a bit hard to believe McCulloch would use that brown fiber-reinforced packing tape to seal up their boxes coming off the line at the plant. Doesn't jive with the graphics (even partially blocks their name) and looks like an afterthought to me. Stapling was the preferred method of box sealing for heavy things back in the day, but who knows.....maybe McCulloch was different. So I'm thinking that box was opened at some point between then and now, and then resealed, maybe for moving, etc........but hey, I sure could be wrong. I'd at least want some assurance from the seller that there really is a new chainsaw in that box.....and that once I paid for it he opens it up before shipping and verifies what he's claiming it is. There's also another really nice, near new but older McCulloch on there now as well. I don't have the link, but if I find it I'll post it later. BUT.......did you see the BRANDY NEW, never run Homelite Super EZ Auto in its case for $1200! Here you go! www.ebay.com/itm/175325034684?hash=item28d22fb8bc:g:i0QAAOSwf7Jir40FNow THAT girl is sweet.....but not at that price (for me). Would have to be absolutely perfect for me to pay half that.....but I'm a bit of a tight-ass at times. But someone might be able to justify it, I'm sure. Love these time machines!!! ;O) bob

Now that SEZ is a sweet one. That's my favorite vintage too. Those were well built.
It's not $1200 sweet. I bet he'd take considerably less. Seems more like about a $300 saw to me.

It's interesting.....if I was a buyer I'd say way too high priced. But if it were mine to sell I'd sure want to get all it's worth, so it's all about perspective. I think at $300 it would sell in minutes.....so my guess is it's worth more. How much......can't say. There's some folks with really deep pockets out there, and you don't run across too many 50 year old Homeys that have never been run. It is the style/model of classic Homelite that pops into my head when I think of old chainsaws. Will be interesting to see if it sells and if not what he relists it at. You gotta love eBay!!

Yeah I mostly agree. I think it's a $300 saw that will bring more. I was thinking it was mildly used, not NOS though.
On the old 610 Mac, it might not be too far off target price wise if it is indeed NOS, never used. The box has obviously been opened, in my opinion. But maybe there's a brand new 610 inside. Good idea on having the seller open the box and show pics prior to paying. I don't know how collectible 610's are but like everything else, if it's NOS and says McC on it, that will mean something. Compared to say a 410 Homie which is not really a collector but if there was a new one in a box, it would still bring a solid price.

Yep,box may have been opened. Tape is running crooked across seam of box flaps. Box would have run through boxing machine on packing line and taped straight.
