My last thread was condenser help. Now I have no spark. I took the points out to follow my hanging wire and after I reinstalled them I I have no spark. ..015š¤. I rotated the piston to what I determined was TDC by looking and feeling the top of the piston and adjusted and tightened the plate. Am I missing something or āif at first you donāt succeedā¦ā. (The way my repairs usually happenā¦) TIA R&R

Check flywheel key? Clean / file points & re-gap, .015. Make sure points are opening. Could be bad kill switch, un-hook wire & see if you have spark. Condenser could be bad or weak. Plug wire could be loose, where spark plug goes into it.

Thanks Bobby. My method is correct? It would figure that it would just quit after taking points out, because it was sparking fine before I took the saw apart to trace the flywheel wire. Will report back when I get this simple saw runningā¦š
