Have you ever paid way too much for a parts saw just to get one or two parts? I did that today but I got the id tag for my 700g as it was missing. Most expensive tag I've ever bought.. 😐

That's going to be happening a lot more in the future, as the supply of NOS Homelite parts dries up and the only next alternative will be 'good used'. And I've noticed a lot of chainsaw parts sellers on eBay have already figured that out, as they keep jacking up their prices. Ahhhh collecting. You gotta luv it!
My problem is I buy 'parts saws' for one or two pieces, like you said, and then after I get them cleaned up I decide they're too nice to rob parts off of....and the cycle starts all over again with me looking for "parts saws" for parts for THOSE saws. I'm sick. Can someone save me please???
;O)

This saw will just be a parts donor. It's missing recoil parts, chain, spark plug cover, and engine is seized. It's kind of a frankensaw as it has a 7-21 tank and a 700g tag. I am glad that I bought it though as that tag is probably a tough one to find. It also has a good oiler line which I also need.
