Ron, do you have or need a IPL for the Tillotson HL carb? Thanks, I might need that eventually. I tinkered with the saw for just a minute last night and I'm guessing it will at least need a carb rebuild. Runs great for a bit, then it bogs, dies, etc.

This old saw has a few issues as would be expected. I've only found minor things so far. Luckily I have a boneyard of parts saws to search. The first thing I found was the cap for the oil tank was not correct. It had thin strips of plastic coiled into the tank threads and an undersized plastic bung threaded into that. I dug that stuff out and luckily the threads in the tank were fine. A 7-19 parts saw donated the proper oil cap. Next I noticed that the muffler housing was loosely rattling around on the cylinder. Two incorrect fasteners were the problem. An old C-5 came to the rescue to donate the correct bolts. Last thing I found was it was missing the outside bar guide plate. A 707 carcass donated that. For several years I wondered why I bought old parts saws. Now I'm really glad I did!
