Hi,
I have a Homelite VI Super 2 chain saw. When I try to pull the starter rope it is very hard to pull. You will usually only get one stroke of the piston. When I take the spark plug out, you can pull the starter rope easily and everything seems normal. Put the plug back in and you can't hardly pull it. Any ideas as to what the problem may be?

That sounds strange. Could the exhaust port be plugged?

See my email...my guess is bar oil is making it into the cylinder due to a missing duckbill valve.
