Hello everyone, new to Homelite. Have searched this site and Leon's and the web for hours for the model / UT #, with ZERO luck on ANY info for a 10663. (Which I find strange). My estate sale purchase. In Ontario Canada. Homelite XL Homelite Textron Charlotte NC USA UT # 10663 SN # HJ1061533 I'm unsure of the HJ1 as the tag is worn but that's my best guess. Plastic case. Toggle switch. Cleaned the exterior and the carb. Flushed the tank. Fired right up. Needs duckbill valves. Would like a new sproket (very worn), bar (possibly 10") and chain. Has 12" Homelite on now. Zama carb. (Possible rebuild kit in the future). Any help or leads would be GREATLY appreciated !!

Update : on chainsaw lady "Homelite Unit Listing " I found the first evidence of my saw... UT10663. Model : XL-W/12-HT Last made in '89. Unsure what the -W is. Or 12-HT. Also my Zama Japan carb has C2S with a little sideways 4 stamped on it.

Not sure what the W would stand for, maybe someone else will know. W typically denotes West Coast versions but I'm not aware of West Coast version of an XL. The 12-HT seems to designate the bar although that normally wouldn't be part of the model number. 12 is 12" and HT stands for Hard Track, more commonly referred to as hard tip.

Could your XL-W/12 HT be a Terry XL chainsaw With a 12" Hard Tip bar? Acres site has it shown there. There is another site that you can search UT's numbers. app.box.com Hope this will help you.

Thanks blythkd and bobby167 ! I have not been able to find info on those model sub codes yet. Anyone else?? Acres site has a somewhat similar model, but not my specific XL. His seems older. If the J is correct in my serial number, the saw was built in 1988. My saw has a homelite 12" sproket nose on it. Stamped 12 37 117 4G. 91 Oregon chain. 49 drive links. On manualslib.com I found for a very similar saw, an owners , shop and parts list manuals. (I believe I saw one of them on here as well). Hopefully with this I can get my sproket, 2nd thrust washer, bar and chain. I may fabricate the missing hand guard. Carburetor shows C2S-H5 (Which I have seen rebuild kits online ) looks the same as mine that is only stamped C2S ?? As I assume a kit will be required sometime in the future.

Your saw should take a 48 link chain.
Pretty sure the Homelite sprocket number is A-95653-C.

If you search on this site for how to read serial numbers, there is a post from Nov 9 2017, that will explain it. This should be in the HoH Help Center.

Thanks guys. I have the sprocket figured out. After hours of searching i've come up almost empty handed so am reaching out for help... 10" bar and chain !!! As far as I can see only these bar mount tail ends will fit ?? Oregon 061 Carlton 28 Windsor MXL One site listed an Oregon 041 fitting ?? (Lots of those available) Have found two NOS on ebay but expensive / hard nose / not what I want. Oregon site doesn't even show the 061 anymore in any lengths.. Have found 12" but would really like the 10". Current homelite 061 style 12" is in rough shape. Any help or direction to look would be grateful!!!
