So I contacted Randy Duncan the other day and there's reasonably good news on the horizon for the 93327/UP05709 intake boot. Apparently the factory has indicated they will be back in production in mid-December. So hopefully Bob Johnson's supply will hold out until then and in 2022 we'll be back in business with good supply again!

Leon,I wish that was the case.I talked with Bob last week & he sold the last boot to the member here who had inquired about it.I was supposed to get a boot from Bob,but he's getting old & forgets things at times, plus I order a lot of Mac parts too.I did a search a couple of days ago & it looks like we'll just have to wait till the factory resumes production again.

So who is "the factory"? Is he having these old rubber parts manufactured?

All of the "New" boots for the 330, 360, 450, 650, etc... are reproductions. I have no info on what factory & where, but I've found the overall quality to be pretty damned good.

I order 360 boots a half dozen at a time and I started noticing some slight visual differences a few years ago. I figured they had been re-sourced. But I haven't noticed any lack of quality either. It's not like the old original Homelite service parts versions were that great to start with. I'm guessing ethanol has been pretty rough on all of them.
Probably 10-15 years ago I'd heard that someone bought out the rights to some Homelite parts, rubber parts in particular, and was going to continue to have them built. May not be anything to that rumor, I don't know. It was before I found this forum so I don't recall where I heard it. I don't know that you'd actually need the rights to have parts made but if the rights came with drawings, that would be pretty handy. Of course, nowadays it's pretty easy to reverse engineer from an existing part. Back then, supplies were starting to get pretty scarce on some parts and I was considering sending some boots to a rubber parts company for quote.

They should pop back up on Ebay as well. As soon as I see something, I'll post it here (unless someone beats me to it!).

I just checked and Lil Red Barn (llrdbrn) has them on Ebay. The listing showed more than 10 available. I wonder if they're going to have them long term?

Lil' Red Barn doesn't have them on their store site as of last month.I just checked their Feebay site & the quantity is down to 5 available @ $20 + $6 shipping. It looks like the unavailability of these boots has driven the price up considerably. They were selling for $15.I can wait till production resumes & the price drops again. If the price doesn't drop,oh well.

I'm hoping ProLine gets in the game and becomes a supplier for the 410 intake boot. They already have the 360 and 450 intake boots, 330 air filters, Super XL filters/ignition modules/pistons ...etc
Quality is very good and everything is reasonably priced.

I just checked & Randy Duncan has the 410 boots in at a price of $30.LRB is a bit cheaper on Feebay, but by time you're done paying taxes & shipping it's about the same as Randy. The boots were $15,now they're $30,nothing like sticking it to us.

I have bought a few Proline parts. Always been happy with them. I’m surprised that they haven’t been making those intake boots.
