Thank you Undee.. The UT/SER Tag on the saw I have is no longer legible. I was trying to determine if there was any way to find out how old this saw is and where it was built. Undee do you know if there is any difference between the US made and Canadian made saw ?
Thanks again !!!

Is it the SL-(chain brake) or the HG-(hand guard) version ? That will narrow down possible UT numbers.
If it has a Walbro carburetor it may be Date Stamped, for an approximate build date of the model.

It is the HG model.. and unfortunately it has the Zama Carb.. Not a big fan of Zama carbs.. Have had a lot of issues with them before not only on chainsaws but on other equipment as well. So I pulled the old UT/SER decal off the saw and held it up to a magnifier light and I could make out ever so lightly 10643 where the UT section was and only a couple of numbers in the middle of serial section. Does anyone know when they started producing these saws ?? 1986 ??
Thank you !!
