I'm repairing clutch covers for Homelite 450/550's that have the typical clutch cover plate screw holes cut in the cover. Typically a round hole cut in the cover because of a screw coming loose or a clutch failure causing the cut in the cover. If anyone is interested I'll post pictures of how I repair these holes. Its fairly simple and helps resurrect otherwise unsafe covers...........J

I'm interested! I patched a SEZ cover using the lid off a soup can once. I'd love to see what you're doing.

Well finally I got some time to post some pictures. What you see is the typical clutch hole cut by something. You must clean all the paint off and that preps it for the repair.

Im working on it............Ugh
Well I tried AGAIN to put pictures here but either my PC or something else will not allow it. In the past, at least I was able to attach the file. Now I cant do either.
I looked at another post on how to do it and image shack is not the same as described on there anymore.
Anyway, I'll be happy to post what I do to fix these covers if someone will tell me how to attach the pictures......J

Well, for those still following this, the process is simple. on the clutch side of the cover I epoxy aluminum foil to close the hole. Then I use DEVCON plastic steel on the outside of the cover to fill the hole made by the screw or spring.
DEVCON is a material that becomes a ceramic metal when mixed in parts like epoxy. It is also machinable like on a lathe or milling machine.
It is excellent for repair like I described. Questions, PM Me.
Its about 35 bucks for a pound of this stuff. It will repair side case damage and alot of other things including threaded areas that are stripped................J

You gotta use a web based photo storage place like Imageshack or Photobucket to store your pics... then you can upload them from there.
I use Photobucket.

The local hosting has a size limit.... not sure off the top of my head, but I think its like 100meg for an image. If its larger, it won't take it. Like Gary said, Photobucket and other sites can host pics and then you can copy the links and put 'em in the post.
