Just found this forum today. Have been lurking at other chainsaw sites that seem to be mostly Hsquy and Stihl guys. Glad to find some Homey guys to hang with. Been a Homelite fan for years ie: 150s, 350s, and 360s. I use them in the woods and maintain them myself, since I am the only mechanic I trust. LOL. Won't be much help to you, but I'll ask a lot of questions. Thanks for starting this forum.

Hey there Woodburner44, Welcome to the HOUSE! Grab a chair, make your self comfy, theres beverages and snacks in the fridge. Yeah, I had a moment of clarity one day after seeing how much traffic there was on Ebay for homelite parts and decided to give this a try, so far so good. Lots of places to hang out and talk saws but none that deal with this specific brand too much, the info is there but it sucks seeing threads sink like rocks while 10 "What saw is best" threads crop up. At least we'll be debating which classic Homey someone should buy and we'll mostly have run the ones that we talk about rather than "Bench racing" like goes on elsewheres. If I may ask woodburner, How did you find us? No pressure, just wondering how best to get the word out. And feel free to ask any and all questions you may have, even if their basic. You never know where a conversation will lead.

Howdy there woodburner as one newbie to another let me say welcome. This seams to be a real friendly place to hang out, at least so far...not sure what it will be like after RBW's figures out I drank all the beer in the fridge. I hope he puts in a wet bar so I can fix myself a c0cktail. I'm getting to the age that those beers lead to too many trips to the bathroom in the middle of the night. BTW if you try to write c0cktail the correct way the board software will change it to cocktail...I guess it thinks c0cktail is a dirty word HaHaHaHaHaHa

LOL. I forgot about that!
The software is set up from the get go to edit out certain words. The selections that they gave were kinda lame so I changed some of them.
If anyone has any requests for word substitutions, Ill be glad to entertain them. ;D
I really dont want to get too, too, family orented, kinda keep the "Hang out with your buddies drinkin a frosty" atmosphere but we doo have to keep it clean to a certain extent, at least untill we find out what the general consensus is.
I think you can still say dick though.

I totaly agree the only thing I use is a good old homie. I don't do it for a living just to clean things up or help out a friend. The good old metal giants that Homelite made will live forever. Only bad thing is getting the parts. Thats what sites like this and the good people that post to them are for
