Does anyone know if the small "Always Use Homelite Saw Chain" decals were ever used on the XL 101-104 series Chainsaws? I don't know if I ever recall seeing them. When did these start showing up??

Yeah that lower pic is the one I was wondering about. Don't think the XL 100 series saws had them-At least the early ones.

The "Always Use Homelite Saw Chain" Decal is often found on mid-70's models; XL-2, 150, Super 1130 G, etc... Here's one on an XL-76 ( UT:50082) manufactured in 1976, from my collection. It's wearing the original Homelite chain and guide bar.

Interesting how these show up on some models. I have seen at least 3 Super Mini early/mid 70's with an Oregon Chain decal on the vertical front side of the fuel tank. Mine had one of them.

First time I've seen one like that on the top cover. That's a Terry-built?

Interesting how these promo decals were used at times on some production runs and not others. I'd imagine Homelite brand chains are actually rebranded Oregon chains??

I'm sure the chain contract jumped around some. I know in at least part of the 80's & 90's, Homelite got their chain from Sabre.
