Well boys 'n girls it took me a while but it's a runner! I put the points assembly back in today (points box,points,condenser),set the gap & had spark.Next was to change out the fuel filter & fuel it up.I had to hear it sputter a bit first with some fuel in the cylinder,Lol.This was a saw where I didn't have to pull the carb.I did pull the top fuel pump cover to see the condition of the diaphragm & the inlet screen though & all was good.I also had to turn in the idle screw on the back of the handle,it just wouldn't fire up where it was set at.I put an almost new Stihl chain on it with a good 16 in.bar.I was using the manual oiler to make sure the chain got oiled well as it was dry when it went on & the next thing I knew the floor was covered in oil.Apparently the auto oiler was working well too,Lol.I've got a couple of minor things to do yet,but the major portion of the work is done.I saved another one!
