Pistons are readily available, proline ones on eBay, little red barn has them, chainsaws, they use same piston as the super xl

If the XL-76uses the same piston as the SXL,then go to Sawzilla.com & buy the Proline kit there.I've heard a lot of negative things about the piston kits from LRB.The Proline kits are $29.95 + $4.50 shipping.

None of the kits you posted, the cylinders will NOT fit a xl76. Do you need a piston and cylinder or just a piston?

This piston will work. www.ebay.ca/itm/222623864932 It’s aftermarket but I believe they are decent quality. The actual Homelite part number that you can search for is 68438. Cylinders for the XL-130 & 76 are hard to come by. A 64405/69723 will work. The original Homelite cylinder for my 76 & 130’s were all stamped 67124. If there are no gauges in the cylinder wall of you saw you can likely reuse it. A bit of polishing with very fine sandpaper or scotch brute pads will do a lot of good. Good luck!

Great news for me the cylinder is great shape The only reason I wanted a cylinder kit is the piston add scoring And new from this generation as soon you remove the Piston for scoring the cylinder is junk and damaged I suppose the chrome plating is better now
