Are there any meaningful comparative power ratings for the various Homelite chainsaws? There are so many different models. I suspect it may be very displacement dependent. Just curious how some might rate relative to others!

Homelite did not publish any power ratings that I am aware of.
Displacement covers most of the questions but some saw internal designs can influence resulting power output.
They are all designed for the maximum available power from the weight so I feel that displacement is a very good indicator. More displacement means more weight so an engineer would need to justify the weight increase to his marketing department and the customer base of course.

Thanks for the replies. Seems power levels were never much of a marketing strategy. The compression pressures seem to be widely varying over the various models. I suspect the larger engine will generally be the higher power level!
