Ok thank you. Think I need a new coil for the one that isn’t working. So will try and find one from the saw that matches

TERRY T-5 Water Pump is possibly a ZIP-5, with a 5.0 CI - 5.0 HP engine .
Manufactured approximately 1965 .. +/- a year or two . Serial Numbers from the units may get the DOM closer .

Just wondering if any one has any info on these pumps. I have two of them one running one not. Any where to get parts? Any idea on when they were made? Thanks Craig Hi Craig, What a coincidence in our names. I know a bit about that pump it is a small forest fire pump made in Montreal Canada by Terry Machinery the name Td5 denotes it was made in 1955. Terry Machinery was the licenced producer of Homelite pumps, generators and chain saws. There is another version of this pump called the T7 again made in 1957. I believe they both had a Homelite single cyl two stroke chain saw motor likely called a zip or Super zip saw of about HP, THe T7 pump maxed out the power that this motor could produce. From my recollection those two pumps were painted red. Which was a departure from Homelites traditional color of thaterra of blue. My Father Cliff Makinson was the developer of these two pumps. I don't know much more about them, other than he was working on developing a two cylinder engine to make a more powerful pump, but Homelite was bought by Textron and they also bought Terry Machinery around 1961, so the project was dropped. Anyway I would expect that motor parts would still be available and the seal for the pump impeller should also be available from a seal supplier. If you have any pictures or if you might like to sell one of your pumps I am looking for one. Kind regards, Craig I can be reached at craig.makinson@gmail.com
