Installed a full wrap handle on the 923 tonight. This saw is the first 900 series I used regularly and is one of my favorites. Here are some pictures. XL923 LH by Clasec, on Flickr XL923 RH by Clasec, on Flickr XL923 ID by Clasec, on Flickr

Your 923 looks much nicer than mine does with that Homelite bar & a lot more paint! Lol I still haven't had a chance to take mine out cutting yet.Maybe this spring. Ed

Thanks Ed. If your 923 runs anything like this one you will enjoy using it. Charles.

According to Joyce's sales record it was built around February/March 1972. I couldn't really find anything close to my serial # 12164385.The earliest 923 I could find in Joyce's records was in 10/70.I'm thinking my 923 had to have been mfgr'd.in early 1970? Ed

ive been looking for a full wrap handle for my 923. where did you get yours. I got this one on Ebay. Don't show up very often. It was a put together set of all NOS parts but the drivecase cover extension was for the earlier saws with 5/16 studs. I recently purchased a extension that has the correct 3/8 stud holes. I will use the earlier extension on my 901 with a full wrap so all will work out. Charles.
