I know there are members here who have dealt with,or plan on dealing with Standard Magneto in Chicago.My advice to everyone here is to steer clear of this company.I bought 8 condensers from them back in Feb.& fortunately I didn't have to use any of them in a saw,otherwise it would've caused headaches.I took all of the condensers to Bob Johnson today to have them tested & every damn one of them leaked.They'll test good on a little capacitence tester because the little tester doesn't hold them under a load like his Graham tester does.Fortunately I'm not out a lot of money ($36),but it's the idea that the propietor knows those condensers are bad & yet he sells them at a "discounted" price.I was talking with Mr.Johnson & he had ordered 150 condensers some time ago.He tested about 15 of them & they all tested bad.He mader a phone call to Standard Magneto & told them that their condensers were garbage.Standard Magneto told him to put them in the saws anyway & see if they work.Bob sent all 150 condensers back & never did any more business with them again ,as I plan to do. It's been said on this forum many times that for some reason time is the enemy of condensers.Who knows how long those condensers have been laying around? Ed

I recently made a purchase for a coil/module for my super EZ, and it is being returned today. No spark! Appears to be newly manufactured and they claim that the parts are tested before they ship. Will let the forum know how this all turns out.

Well after a phone call to Standard Magneto, l let them know that my wishes were to have a running saw, a replacement would suffice. The gentleman made a call to me before he shipped another coil to make sure we both were correct with numbers and needs. The shipment arrived around the end of September, and the Super EZ is running like new. I'm pleased with the outcome and and like the idea having them as future a resource.
