Well Part 1 was just Leon and I and we both had a total blast. Part 2 is already in the making and so far plans are for some time in October 2018 at my place again(optional). We have a full shut down fire season this time of year which is why we aren't doing it sooner....not to mention the Heat! Anyhow....if anyone wants to join us please do! Two was a blast and more will just be funner....not to mention there will be new saws to run for the next one as well. We did a small barbecue and lot's of soda(plenty of ice water to) so good food will be on the list for sure. haha Maybe a bond fire as well this time as it will be getting dark sooner by then and hopefully cooler to enjoy one. If anyone has ideas and thoughts then let's start planning as time will fly. Possibly Saturdays to do the gtg during that month would be: the 6th, 13th, 20th, or 27th.
I can get any weekend off usually as long as someone will trade with me.....or if I'm not up North working at Union Pacific yet.....that's a whole other story.
Anyhow....hopefully some of you folks can make it out here!

I'd love to be able to drive up there. The trip alone would be worth it

TJ is in Southern Oregon, just outside of Cave Junction. I'm about an hour away near Medford.

Dang it. That would be about an 8 hour drive for me. I'm good for about 3 hours one way these days. I'm too sore to be much good to anyone after that.

You have to look at it as a 3-4 day excursion each way, no better way to have fun than seeing America

1986 miles for me, but I'm not sure I would take the northerly route in October, but I sure would want to.

2035 miles for me. A few years back, my wife and I researched the ideal area with the most stable climate in the U.S. and came up with Brookings, OR which isn't too far from there. I guess T.J. could tell me if that is true or not. ☺

Not as warm in the summer, but a whole lot less people...plus I grew up there!
