Leon and I have been planning this for awhile now....especially since we don't live all to far from each other. Originally we planned to do it in May(before the killer temps), but due to the craziness of life....it finally happened today. Not much for pictures, but plenty on video! We were having to much fun I think to do much picture taking. haha Decent amount of saws were ran today! Also...we are already talking about doing it again so.....anyone near by or wanting to make a drive is more than welcome. 028 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 009 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 011 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 014 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 015 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 016 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 018 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 020 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 022 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 025 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr 026 by TJ McCauley, on Flickr

Man that was a lot of fun TJ! Gotta give you a big "Thank You" for the hospitality and the invite! I failed miserably at pictures, but I'll start uploading the videos in the morning and put the links here (I gotta get some shut-eye!). The two pics I have are of the mess we made and two awesome told trucks surrounded by a good many vintage chainsaws.

Nice! At least somebody had some fun today. I wonder how the airlines would feel about a few chainsaws in my carry-on?

Great pictures, not like being there but great none-the-less. Thanks for sharing. It certainly looks like you two DID have fun. It would be interesting to see what the neighbors thought of your shenanigans.

Neighbors were quiet and out of sight the entire time.....I think there were enough saws and sharp chains they didn't want to cause any trouble. haha

I like that short box in the back, looks like a really nice truck kit. I wanted one of those with the spare tire fender but I could not find one when I replaced the fenders on my truck. Everything rusts so bad around here. I wound up with fiberglass reproductions. No tire well.

TJ you must've worn out Leon so bad he's sleeping in... Doesn't he know everybody's waiting with baited breath here? It's almost 11:30am on the east coast.

I think I got them all, very nice Leon, no reason to apologize for the video. It really does look like you guys had a ball.
(Did you hear me yelling at you to shut the XL-500 off? I just about scared the little woman to death, she heard me.)

Ok, what saw was the "secret saw"? Never mind, I just saw it on the video list, must have missed it.

Looked like a great time. What kind of wood was most of that?

Most of what we cut was seasoned madrone, some fir and pine as well. Somewhere in that pile I have some hard oak as well. Here is part 1 from my "camera" lol www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9KVjbe0JOo

well now the John Deere 550CS is at the top of my want list right next to the John Deere Super XL. If nothing else I grew up on a John Deere. Started raking hay on a 2640 when I was 8, clipping turn rows with a 4020 by 12, finished my farming career on all the new guided tractors. Anyway sorry for that stray away from the topic but I do like the John Deere saws. I thought the Super XL was the only one John Deere produced when they had Homelite. Looks like a great time was had with some good looking saws
