Please tell me what compression PSI is minimum, good and excellent for a used C5,51,52,7,71,C9,C91.

Minimum to run: ~90psi Good: 120-125psi Excellent: 140-150psi
I'm not sure I've seen a Homelite publication that lists C-Series compression, but other saws from that era when new were in the 140-150psi range.

C series compression. If you can pull the rope with little effort that is too low. If you can use the weight of the saw to pull the rope that is good. If you have to put it on the ground & hold it with your knee that is great compression

I have used compression gauges before but , dieseltech hit it on the head .that sounded like a grass roots back yard compression engineer. well said on compression ratios no special tools needed. makes a lot of sense jklw77
