I wish. It's close to Saratoga Springs. Every search for Greenwich calls up the village in NYC. It's a good one. About 100 people show up. Not too many old saws show up though. I wish there were more old saw GTG's It's nice to put a face to a name

I'd like to get to at least one of those GTG's myself, but I have a very hardf time trying to find anyone near by that I could hitch a ride with.I figure about the time I'm on my deathbed is when they'll announce they've found a cure for my eye problem(s).

Many guys put so much (OK too much!) emphasis on ported modern saws and it kind of takes the fun out of it.

Only about a three hour drive for me and near some of my favorite camping areas too but also the weekend of my wife's birthday, so pretty unlikely for me on this one unfortunately.

I hope to go this year. I haven't been in a few (7?) years. Used to be a decent bunch of old saws showed up. Good time, good food, good folks. It's always fun putting one of Scott's Dolmar 166 to work. Not me: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ia5Jxp0yXoMAnd there's nothing like the sound of the Wankel: www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftPB4QJiBRYThis girl wanted to run my 1050. I was gonna help her but her husband was right there so I kept my hands off. :-) www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHFuu2iiAF0I'm hoping to have my 650 ready for this year's GTG. I have a bunch of project Homelites that I'll probably never get to that I hope to bring. Hopefully some of you guys can lighten my load.

GTG's are not hard, well unless the other guy spaces it out, (still sorry about that svk).
Just tell other folks that it needs to be done, have them come to your place for a starter and have coffee. Show off your own stuff. Two or three guys bs'n about saws for an hour can be a good time. It does not have to be big.
Check on the other forums too. There are threads about GTG's, a lot of arrangements are made on the net. Check with dealers around too, they often host "show" days.

I'd love to host a GTG sometime up north at my place but there are almost no saw forum guys within several hours of me.

No other plans have come up yet for me so I should be there with an SUV full of project saws to unload. Many are Homelites. SUV is a Silver Pathfinder.

Nope... But the wife and I are planning to attend Masterminds GTG in East Tennessee the first week of October.
I signed up for the MS440 Clone builds. They come in a box and you build it... Should be a lot of fun..

Should be a lot of fun.. Randy is at the NY GTG now. I believe he arrived there this afternoon. Looking forward to seeing him tomorrow and Sunday. I managed to scare some interest in the old saws. There's at least a bunch of really good MACS coming and there's bound to be a few Homelites. I'm taking my Super EZ and my Super 650, A MAC SP80 and a Poulan 5200

Damn. I dug out all my project saws (x22) and now something's come up that I can't make it over there tomorrow. :-( If any of you want to swing through 05739 I can probably be here. I haven't had time to go through them but I wouldn't have brought them home if I didn't think they'd be an easy fix. Some may even run fine. Will sell cheap. Some are free. Homelites: SXL, SXL, SXL, SXL engines (x2), XL12 blue, XL12 red, Super EZ, SUper 2 VI, XL2 Auto, XL2 Auto, 240, 240, XL-925, XL-925 Stihl: 015, 020AV, 020AV, 020AVP Poulan: Super Micro XXV Jonsered: 70E, 455, 930
