Nice Super VI200,wish the one I have was in such excellent condition! I am curious of the numbers on the saw to help me and others to date it.Mine being Type 50068 ,Serial 5021T461.Probably built in 1975...

Another fine, rare in the US model! I bought it from the daughter of the original owner for $20. She was going to donate that to the humane society. The last time it ran for them was during a very bad ice storm we had here. She said her Dad kept them warm with the wood cut with that saw. It still has clear machining marks on the piston so it wasn't run all that much. The anti vibe rubber is as supple as the day it came out of the factory but vibe wise, it's not noticeably better than my XL-76's Happy to have it though. They seem to be more common in Europe than here. I think most of the export saws came out of the Terry plant. Likely due to prefered import duty rates from Canada.

The pic looks small as I write this but it looks like 50068 5022T193 Do any of you have model no / serial number decoder / lists for the Terry saws?

I think your saw was built one day after 5terrysupersaws was in 1975

The Terry dates are a bit in question but the consensis seems to be the the first digit is the year, 75, then the day of the year, 022, T for Terry and unit 193 that day. No documentation that supports that but it seems to come up with a realistic date each time it has been tried. The Lot numbers, when present, decode the same way for the date, at least on US saws.
Very nice saw, thanks for sharing it with all.

I'm trying to cross ref the spark plug for my VI200. Originally it was a Champion J7, but I'm not having a lot of luck using the interweb. NGK B5S or B6S? AJ

AJ NGK B6S would be ok, similar to a J8 in heat range. B5S would be too hot. NGK BPM7A also works, similar to a CJ7Y, have one in my Super VI-200.

I finally got the Super VI-200 running. All it needed was a spark plug wire, plug, plug boot, carb rebuild, coil and ignition module ;-D. It's probably my best running saw, out of 19 (?) I tried it out today, and that thing is a beast. Goes through logs like nothing. BUT, my oiler stopped pumping after about 5 squirts. Before I start to tackle that system, does anyone know if there's a simple fix? (Ha, simple fix) TIA, AJ

I'm looking for a clutch cover for my Super VI-200. The existing one went through some sort of "incident".
