That's in nice shape, would look even nicer with some new bar lettering. Is it a points (black coil) or solid state (blue coil) saw? I see that saw has the odd Lot #/UT # combination. Did you check the carb date stamp?

Did you check the carb date stamp? I don't know, I haven't done anything except put the bar and chain on fill the gas and oil and cut some logs, which it did great. Do you guys remove the handle to get at the carb, or what type of tools to you use to get into the tight spots?

You need to remove the right half of the rear handle, then slide trigger off the pin. Disconnect the choke lever by pulling the tiny cotter pin. Use a 5/16" box wrench to loosen carb bolts; bolts will stay in carb as you twist it to undo the throttle linkage. Easy Peasy!
