Yes, you are correct. Looking more closely at the T20 I have here (which was missing most of the left-rear adjuster when I got it for $15), I might be able to use enough of it.

Thanks, that may be all I need. I'll take the other side apart and study it. I think there's some other missing pieces, but I may be able to duplicate those easily enough.

It turns out indeed it was only the spring that was missing. Lucky me, I was able to find a similar era Jacobsen at the lawn mower junkyard in New Ringgold PA - it was all smashed to hell but the spring was perfect. It's now installed and I've got all four wheels height adjustable. Cut the lawn with it yesterday. I also came across a final(?) generation "Jacobsen" mower in good shape, which I salvaged the shell from. It's Homelite red (not orange) in color, badged Homelite / Jacobsen. It's a 2-blade recycler - no outlet at all. The adjusters are similar to my T20, but the AL shell is much deeper - looks sorta like a turtle! I'm guessing this is the last iteration that had some features from the classic Jacobsen.
