Thank you for posting these manuals.  I have 3 saws 2 XL,s and a SXLAO.  All have compression but not running.  I believe I now have a fighting at getting them all running and back into service.

What are you trying to download them with??? phone , computer?? All the files are in pdf format, you have to have a pdf reader on whatever device you are using

I'll second that! Awesome! I think the first question I asked on here when I joined was if there was a timeline that showed which saws were introduced and when they were retired by date, and no one had such a thing. Acres has some of that info, but it's pretty hit or miss. But I just opened the 1957 manual listed above and for each saw it tells when it was introduced and retired!! BINGO! So thanks for the great info. I also just got an original information packet from Homelite from way back in the day, addressed to Michigan University, that is a real time capsule of information. When I get some time I'll scan it all and upload it for everyone to see. It's very interesting.

Anyway.......thanks undee for them manuals. I think it's the first one I've ever read in my life.......being a guy and all.

w30bob: FYI, if you haven't, go to home page. Go to the service manuals. Open service manuals & info. It will take you to Leon's site. On top open dealer service memos. Go down to 1976, memo H96A-008. It will show you most Homelite products made. It will list UT number / model / last year built & what it is. Won't show first year made. Lots of good usable information on Homelite equipment there. If you already have seen this, sorry.
