Hi Guys, it's pretty expensive for a chain sharpener but does anyone own one of these? Is it worth the $$$? Thanks. Steve

The design does look like it makes it easier to keep all the teeth the same size.

I have 2 friends with them. One guy used to free-hand file and the other used to use a Husq. roller type. They say the Timberline is worth the $. I haven't had a chance to try it yet. They both like it except when trying to use it on a chain that the cutters are not all the same length. Even them up first with another tool.

I have never seen one in person let alone used one BUT, it looks to me like the chips from the process "all" go right down into the chain. From there carried forward to the bar slot and sprocket nose bearing area. Hmm, that is a little scary. Repeat, I never used one. Otherwise it looks slick as snot on a doorknob.
