Hi Guys, I recently came across this larger duck-bill valve and was wondering if anyone has used this one before. It's possibly #96841 and according to the information provided with the eBay ad, was used on a number of saws including the XL, Super 2, XL-30, etc. I was wondering if this duck bill valve would work better inside the oil tank on my XL-2; allowing additional crankcase pressure in. The saw is oiling now but perhaps could be improved some with a little more tank pressure? Thanks. Steve

Hey Steve, I'm not sure why Homelite went to the larger valve, but it has more of a sealing area and that's about the only difference between it and a 69451. I've used them interchangeably where the larger will fit and I've really not noticed a difference in performance. If you could find a cheap one, it's worth a try in your situation, but the price that fella is asking is out of this world! If you can let your saw idle for 20-30 seconds and it slings oil off the chain when revved, you're doing just fine!

That large check valve looks a lot like the Poulan 530026119 check valve. I use them to replace the NLA Remington check valves.

I think they are all basically the same other than color from brand to brand. I've used the 530026119 on the Homey's and it is exactly the same.

TEW Tulsa Engine Warehouse I get 10 at a time. The short ones are homelite 07-004 @$1.55 The long ones are 530026119 @$1.34 The base measures the same on both, only the over all length is different. The Poulan ones are definitely wider lips but ? who knows if it breaths better. I have engineered in both of them onto poulan micro series oiler check valves (the screw in one) you can't get any more from poulan or anyone..... and into several different fuel caps when the E-10 destroys the originals.

The pic should answer any questions. In some later built saws (diff models), the larger duckbill fits over a small barbed fitting, the short one will not work.
