I have a super ez, which has the wrong side cover (covers the clutch) when I do a parts search on ebay I see a couple possible side plates. if anyone has a solution how I know which super ez I have, if it helps I could post some pic's (I think)
the side cover I have now doesn't make a good seal and lets too much trash in

Can you post a pic of the area of concern with the cover mounted on the saw?

Do you have the S-clutch or a 3-shoe clutch? If you have the S-clutch, you want the cover that actually screws on. The 3-shoe clutch uses the cover that is just held in place by the clutch nut.

Your likely having a clutch cover fitment issue because you probably have a later model saw with an earlier version cover. Here's why, the later model saws have an added casting flange/nub (or whatever you want to call it) that's located on the drive case. This added casting flange is located just below the hole for the automatic oil pump feed line (on the two line systems). It is this small casting flange that interfers with the earlier clutch covers. These covers don't have the extra clearance. So without more details and pictures of your saw, this is likely the problem. Hope this helps. Steve
