Hey guys, I'm a new collector and have an old C5 my brother-in-law gave me. it starts up and will run with the choke all the way out but will not run if you start taking off the choke and it wants to stall when you start cutting
any ideas?

that means the the engine is starving of fuel. with the choke out the carb creates more of a vacuum to draw more fuel to run engine.
heres what could be the problem.
fuel filter dirty or blocked fuel line soft, cracked or has holes in it metering diaphragm stiff or has holes engines has bad compression due to worn piston, rings, jug and or air leak from cylinder base gasket. bad crank seals.
