Does anyone know of any solvents that work well for removing carbon buildup from exhaust ports?

you can dab some sea foam cleaner on the ports. but the best way to clean the exhaust port is take jug off and scrape carbon

I always clean mufflers and screens with propane. Then a light brushing with a wire brush.

Thanks guys, i already had the cylinder off, was just hoping for a miracle dip. I got it all scraped off this morning, super ez auto, one port was solid! I couldn't believe it, and the piston was in good shape.

+2 for propane (or Mapp gas). Cook the buildup well and it turns to dust.
