That's a new one on me. I'll have to see if any of my suppliers caries anything like that.

Hi Dewayne I found something similiar that works. I thought I threw all the parts from an old weed wacker away but was pleasantly surprised to see it in a pie tin on my bench. (That should tell you something about my work bench ) It's a cylinder with a pin on one end that fits through the holes in the throttle plate which you then put a snap ring on. The other end has screw in it. In the middle of the cylinder is a hole the broke cable wire goes through and the set screw tightens it in. I'll post a picture if you want. Thanks for the reply. KW

I have a package of these. Can't remember where I bought them , maybe from this place. They work great! www.smallenginespares.co.nz/shop/item.aspx/wire-stop-z-end/2005/In a pinch I have formed a Z bend or cut one off an old throttle wire and used half a wire butt connector to fasten it to the cable with a good crimp. If more strength is desired you can solder the crimped commection. Tom

.co.nz? That's a long way. Wonder what postage would be. Great idea on the butt connector. I never even thought of that. I did try soldering the old one to the wire. I drilled out the end and crimped and soldered and found out first pull it didn't work. Thanks for the reply.

Pictures?? but ive soldered and custom repaired throttle cable wire before. I even made those little pieces of metal cylinders on the end of cables before out of solder. The wire has to be very clean dipped in brake cleaner and plenty of flux on it to work.

That's probably my problem. I didn't clean the ends with brake cleaner or anything else. I just wiped them off real good and dipped the end in flux. Then I used my soldering iron. I need to buy a mini propane torch. I got the problem fixed when I found the part I needed in my parts pan. I thought I had one but couldn't find it. Look at the link Tommy posted a few up and you'll see a picture of what I used to fix my broke throttle cable on my Homelite 275 weed wacker. Thanks for the soldering tips/repair ideas. KW
