Hi, As the Homelites get older and parts become harder to locate, is there a way to determine the bearing part numbers?
For example, a Homelite SXL-AO bearing (on the bar side of the case) has the following:
Japan XU NTN 6203N
I believe that the bearing is a 6203N type. I have searched for a replacement bearing of this number, and most of the returns indicate China sources, but not price or availability.
Is there a source for the rollers bearings: the top and bottom end roller bearings, and the caged roller bearing for the flywheel side of the crank (with equivalent cross reference part numbers)?
As I am using these old saws, I will need replacement bearings in the future, so while I am rebuilding one of these now, I thought to capture the bearing information while the saw is torn down and I can verify if the equivalent bearing will fit and be suitable for chainsaw use.
Possible a bearing cross reference part number list could be developed similar to the piston/ring list that has been started.

Hi, I'm new to the board and just lurking so far, but you can get that bearing at your local NAPA. It is 6203j and runs about $16. Also, any bearing suplier should be able to get that for you.
