I find that 925 fuel line is getting hard to find, so I tried this out and it worked. I pressed a regular fuel line grommet that is used on the SXL-12 saws, into the feed hole in the side of the tank, at this point the grommet will be a little loose in the hole. Next, feed a length of snug fuel line thru the grommet in the tank. At this point the line will have snugged up the hole for good tank pressurization. Next take the L tube and fasten the other end of the line over it and press against grommet. The tube lip will not force into the grommet opening. The L tube will not fit tight to the tank wall but you can still snug that tube up with the screw and bracket in the same way you would with the original line. This is a very inexpensive way to get and keep these saws running as I have heard the original lines were a pain in the a** to install. Hope this helps ans good luck ;D Hawt

Really good tip! I ordered some Buna-N grommets from McMaster Carr that fit well enough and did just as you described. Works great.

I found a new fuel line for my 925 XL and am wondering if there is a trick for installing it that helps seat the built in grommet to the tank. The kids a the shop had no clue. The said just pull it through from the inside of the tank. Sounded pretty risky to me in terms of breaking the line at the grommet. Thanks for any help.
