I was watching a video of Leon’s last night where he was working on an xl-76 converting it back to a saw from a drill. It brought back childhood memories from the early’70s. On the family farm, I remember blue homesites with drills where the clutch would be for tapping maple trees.
Does anyone know if homelite or terry offered these as an option or was this farm engineering? Uncle Everett fancied himself quite an inventor, but he’s long gone so I can’t ask. Thanks

I " think" homelite offered that as an option. I know there were different attachments offered on the C series like ice/post hole augers, drills, etc. Some of these attachments were made by other companies if memory serves me correctly.

I never thought to look for one online, but I found an all-76 that looks like what I saw on the farm. I wonder if Terry made them. Maple is big in Quebec as well as Vermont. I still wouldn’t put it past my uncle to have made a couple of his own.
I’d like to add it to my collection, but this seller ripped me off bad on an xl-1. I got tired of fighting with her and ate the loss.
