I got this saw recently. I had very low expectations but it’s turning out to be a nice saw. Got it running today. Looks like it’s hasn’t run much and was probably retired a long time ago. Man this thing is crazy loud. It makes a C-51 with a stack sound quiet. I need to make up a chain to fit the 28” hard nose that I have. Pretty happy to have this one. It’s the first 700g that I’ve ever seen. youtu.be/wYp5TFCeui4?si=3k8sqh9gde3R9_Tn

That's a beautiful sound, and frankly a beautiful saw! Any idea when it was manufactured? Do you have any screens or elements in that "muffler"? The exhaust on my EZ is missing all the muffler guts but I really don't care that much.

Thanks for these kind words. At this point, I have no idea when it was made. I’ll try to figure that out though.
The muffler does have a screen but it doesn’t do much. I feel like it’s louder than any old saw that I have.

I acquired a 700g a few years ago (not nearly as nice as yours) and I truly believe it's the loudest saw I own!

The only bummer about that video was that it's too short! Sounds like that engine wants to scream once it clears its throat out!

Yeah. lol. I was a bit hesitant to push it too hard. It’s been dormant for a long time. Didn’t want to make it too angry. I’ll be tinkering with it more and we will see how it goes.
