Hello all, I have recently acquired this Oregon bar. All other vintage pro bars that I have are Windsor and no chains that I have are long enough. I think the rails are too narrow for 058 & 063. I’m pretty sure it’s 3/8 sprocket tip although that 404 number is throwing me off a bit! I’m thinking it’s a D096 27” 050 but not sure how many DL. 23206-3/8 & 23247-404 must be the part numbers for compatible tips 2750 2033SE must be the bar code? What is 2033SE?? Am I in the right direction here?? 🤔

My Oregon literature has a giant hole in it; I've got nothing that explains this. The 2750 is 27" .050" gauge and I believe my 27" bars use 93 drive links (3/8"). I haven't the foggiest clue what the 2033SE is all about and I've never foudn replacement tips under those numbers. I'm wondering if the bar has a different part # depending on which tip is installed?

Someone posted a similar pic over on AS recently and got basically the same explanation from someone who said he looked the numbers up, like he had an old listing. Sounds like Oregon changed their numbering system in about the mid-70's.

93 makes sense Leon. 91 is too short to go over the nose of the bar. I’ll give that a try. I may have a couple of random chains around to make a 93 DL loop.

I found two 3/8 050 Oregon chains in my stash that I had hung up and forgotten. I mended them together at 93 DL. Fits perfectly for this bar. Thanks for the tips!
