It's been a while since I've tackled a full restoration and this 775G was a job! I ended up replacing a lot of parts (clutch, gearcase cover, sprocket shaft, driven sprocket, sprocket shaft bearing, carburetor, reed block, muffler cover, muffler element, muffler cap, starter ball drive, starter cover, throttle handle)...the screws holding the drive sprocket to the driveshaft backed off and created an inspection port in the old gearcase cover. All told, parts & paint materials came out just shy of $350 and going into it I thought the saw was relatively sound! If anyone is interested I did 2 LONG videos that covered almost all of the disassembly and reassembly: youtu.be/JgZjPZFDkLsyoutu.be/aZWF-5BbbVA[img src=" live.staticflickr.com/65535/53507334753_2a98d2ac2d_z.jpg" src=" Homelite 775G (a) by Leon Crouch, on Flickr" alt=" "] [img src=" live.staticflickr.com/65535/53506291987_dedc43b8c9_z.jpg" src=" Homelite 775G (c) by Leon Crouch, on Flickr" alt=" "] [img src=" live.staticflickr.com/65535/53507179741_51427f7a7c_z.jpg" src=" Homelite 775G (f) by Leon Crouch, on Flickr" alt=" "]

Thx! Some folks on Youtube were bummed that I didn't fuel it up, but it sure looks nice in my office at work!

Yeah at some point. I know she'll run, since I fired it on a cylinder prime...I just refuse to put away a saw in the collection that isn't ready to run if I want it to. If it goes into the attic, it's going to be mechanically ready to work!
