I have this saw running now. It has been a great challenge and a lot of fun so far. Lots of fun left on it though. The hardest part is done though I think. It has spark, starts and runs, oils and the bar and chain is in working condition again! Now I just need to make it more complete with some missing parts. Some are very hard to come by. If anyone has a cylinder shroud that they would sell please contact me. I believe that the same part is on 26LCS, 7-29, 8-29 and possibly others. I am not concerned with the Color or even if the paint is missing! Here is a video of it running today in the yard. Think the inlet needle is sticking as it seems to load up badly and is difficult to get the main jet set properly. A carb kit is in the mail. youtu.be/fGInckVNgX0?si=k3DG16St--EAp94J

That's a beauty, warts and all! An old beast like that is entitled to some missing paint, especially if it runs! Sounds like it will idle all day long. Are you planning on doing much cutting with it? I love watching these old things cut large logs. They work slow and steady but they get the job done!
