I have a Zip saw that runs great!. Problem is, I was wondering what the options are for putting a 3/8" chain or is .404 the best option? Is there a conversion kit to run 3/8" chain and bar?

The Homelite A-67545 or A-58923 should have the same dimensions as the A-57344 .404" sprocket and will allow you to run 3/8" chain. The A-67545 is a 7-tooth and the A-58923 is an 8-tooth; neither is cheap due to relative scarcity. I'm not aware of any kits; Homelite discontinued support for the ZIP quite a few few years before the 3/8" setups came out for the C-72.

AWESOME. I have a brand new 57344 sprocket/drum. I was hoping I could use that for 3/8" chain. I will have to get a bar for it. This addiction is expensive! Lol. But I love it! Thanks Leon!

It's an expensive addiction for sure! There's a light at the end of the tunnel though. When it comes to vintage chainsaws, all we need is just one more.
(Yeah, right!)
