Hi all. New member here. Thanks for letting me join. I currently have 5 Homelite saws and 2 Homelite weed trimmers. 3 model 150s, an EZ Auto, a ST165, and a SX-135 Bandit. On the bench tonight is my Homelite EZ Automatic chainsaw. 2.5 months ago I diss assembled it to install a whole new throttle handle and did not completely reassemble it because I knew that the carb needed to be rebuilt so didn’t finish. Finally rebuilt the carb yesterday and am a little confused with reinstallation of the many parts. I must confess, I failed to photograph disassembly. I already looked up the parts diagram, but that only kinda helped me. I may have extra parts from the replacement throttle handle mixed in. Can someone else with this saw send me a picture of the intake/carb bay/area? Or help me somehow else? Thanks for your time and any help is greatly appreciated. I attached 3 photos to this thread, I don’t know if it work though or if you can see them…

The 3rd pic is of a 150.If you're trying to mate a 160 to an SEZI don't think it'll work,Lol.You'll have one helluva hybrid if you're successful!
Seriously though, putting a replacement handle back on an SEZ is a fairly easy task. You'll need a new gasket that goes between the handle & the engine.I've made one using 1/64 Karropak gasket material, but I had a new gasket to use as a template.Leon may have this gasket.Once you have the gasket in place you'll need to fish the oil line back into the handle & try to couple the line back on.You may want to start the screws that hold the handle to the engine,BUT BE CAREFUL as the "ears" of the engine crankcase are very susceptible to breaking off.Don't ask me how I know this.Once you've gotten this far let me know & I'll guide you the rest of the way.

Thanks for the reply. The 150 pic is just for show as I’m a new member. I already have the new handle on and made that gasket, I’m just having trouble reinstalling everything that goes with the carb which is the pile of parts next to the EZ AO.

Do you have the reed assembly in yet? It's hard for me to see the pile o parts you have there.

I think so. I’m not actually sure what the reed assembly is though. The pile of parts is just some screws, linkages, and springs, sitting next to the chainsaw in the first picture.

Update: I got most of the parts reassembled with the help of another forum. The saw runs and the carb rebuild seems to have been successful. I will be ordering the throttle latch assembly tomorrow because that’s missing.
