About makes me want to buy one just to compare it to a new one. But $30? They were like $5 from Homelite.

Follow-up/comment
When I need a part that is so out of control with respect to pricing in the open market (e.g., ebay), I buy an old clunker (i.e POS) for say $25 - $35 which occasionally still occurs out on ebay but my favorite is still the old-school garage/yard sales (i.e. no shipping costs). This is especially true with respect to these little XL family saws, other saws not so much. Basically, I "hope" the part is good on the unit if it is something that you can't really evaluate/inspect prior to buying the unit like the oil plunger. In most cases, I have totally recouped my purchase price and even made a few bucks even after keeping other/additional parts (back-up inventory). I know... nothing new to most of the members on this site.... just saying.

I'm actually surprised the cost is as low as it is...I figured it would be another $10 higher!
