I bought a chain and bar combo for the projects I'm currently working on. I know the XL automatic plastic case saws take a 3/8" .050 but one of the bar and chain combos I bought say "9 teeth" on the chain box. The saws I'm working on have 6 tooth sprockets. Can I use this chain on these saws?

Not sure what "9 teeth" on the chain box would mean. As long as it's 3/8 pitch, .050 gauge chain and it's the right length, it will work.

The "9-tooth" refers to the tip of your bar...the 3/8" low profile bar has 9 teeth and the .325" of the same design has 10 teeth.

Thanks for clearing that up. There is way more things to consider when selecting a bar and chain combo for any given saw. I don't do much tree cutting around my property so I just need a bar and chain that will get the job done for the little cutting I do.
